Jetfire and Jetstorm images!

They're a little goofy looking, but, hell, I'm sold. $20 down the drain.

Symmetrical Docking lawl.
Not bad, though the arms in all modes look a bit doofy. And looks to be a sweet deal for $20. Yup, I'm sold too. Looking forward to their show appearance, there's some potential there.

They look like they're miss transformed. But not the worst set I've ever seen.

Re: Jetfire and Jetstorm images!
I just totally did not see that coming. There hasn't reeaally been anything like them before either, has there? Outside of the Japanese armour-upgrade 'bots like Victory Leo and Godbomber, you generally don't get two equally sized characters capable of combining in both modes.
What's next, Animated Pretenders??

Well there's shades of Energon Omega Supreme in there, but that toy's components didn't have individual robot modes. But yeah, these two are very different. And since being different is a lot of what defines Animated, I'm quite down for it.
As for Pretenders, there WERE the Blood/Gilmer cameos in the show, so...

Re: Jetfire and Jetstorm images!
Hmm, those look kinda naff. The sled-like wingless jets fail to inspire, and I don't dig their simplicity. Combined mode redeems some, but those arms hurt. I'll need to see more before I make my mind up.

...What, Meltdown's generic mutant servants? Come ON, that is reaching. =p Unless you heard it from the writers themselves, nooo diiiiice.BWprowl wrote: As for Pretenders, there WERE the Blood/Gilmer cameos in the show, so...
Anyway, yeah, these guys do seem to be the first of their kind... So while I won't buy them, more power to 'em. Hope for improvements on the gimmick in future.

Re: Jetfire and Jetstorm images!
Some people are theorizing that either the flame/ice things spread out more, or there are detachable wings inside the packaging that the hasbro photographer forgot to put on. I'm hoping for the latter.
