I don't quite agree with you there. I appreciate the attempt to do something different with both the RID Construction bots and the trains. I think the simplicity of the G1 combiners works fairly well, and it may be that Hasbro is simply going back to that model. It's a flawed model, but it does have the virtue of being easy to combine.
