Has Classics/Generations run out of G-1 characters toys to use?
I don't think they've even touched the tip of the iceberg.
I bring this thread discussion here. Because Some on other TF forums think Classics/Generations has run out of characters toys to use & there is nothing left to use now but re-use the same characters over & over & over. HOW CAN ANYONE THINK THIS WHEN THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF TF G-1 CHARACTER G-1 TOYS.
How can anyone think all the G-1 character toys are done being created for the Classics/Generations TF toy lines. When Hasbro Has yet to create Classics Generations toys for most of the 1980's TF Combiners. Most of the City/base bots still need to get done. most of the 1987 to 1990 TF toys Hasbro hasn't even touch the tip of the iceberg on these.
Thus far Classics Generations is doing a bad job at creating newer homage molds for most of the Animal-bots from 1985-1990. There is barely a hand full that's been created. This is low & bad considering there are hundreds/thousands of Animal-Bots G-1 characters toys.
Lets not forget the Classics/Generations line still has yet to create decent homage toys for the NON-USA G-1 toys like all those Japanese & UK TF G-1 TF exclusives. Many fans want to see Classics/Generations toys get made for Deathsaurus,Victory,Star Sabre,Overlord,Liokaiser,Dinoking,Dia Atlus,Road Caesar,RoadFire,Sonic?
If Hasbro is guilty of anything it's focusing too much on the current core cast when creating newer Classics,Generations toys each new year. They should be using those new toy solts wisely by creating newer toys for characters who never got a homage new mold. instead of giving same core cast new molds ever year after year.

Yeah, there are still plenty of G1 characters that haven't seen a Generations release. Or even different versions of G1 characters since they've done a few different takes on characters as well.

Indeed. The merge groups alone leave plenty of characters to redo.Sparky Prime wrote:Yeah, there are still plenty of G1 characters that haven't seen a Generations release. Or even different versions of G1 characters since they've done a few different takes on characters as well.

How many unique characters did G1 have, anyway? Over 300, at a guess. That line ran for almost a decade. There are plenty of remakes available, though you start to get into more obscure characters than the ones everyone is familiar with.

When Generations produces a Sky Garry toy, you have my permission to die.
