(note: I have removed most non-"Cybertron" toys, such as movie recolors, from this list.)

Every Cyberkey code/Cybertron toy:

Most toys listed by planet allignment, and then alphabetically by price
point. If you are trying to search by code, remember that the first letter of each code usually synchs up with the price-point. And, if you have the key, you can obviously tell which planet it is supposed to be from.

The key-codes were intended to unlock promotional content on-line. While a a few people have archived the content, the official page has long since been removed. thus, the key/code listings are more for parts identification purposes now.

Sub-scout price points listed together, regardless of planet.

I honestly just threw all my Cyber keys into one huge zip lock bag.

I was a bit SHOCKED to see several ebay auctions trying to match up the cyber keys codes to the actual toys. those codes were put on the keys to un-lock on-line stuff.

Well, if you ever need to match your keys up to the toys, won't you be happy to have this list then?

Joking aside, I try not to sell incomplete toys. And, I rarely (if ever) buy them.

I've sold off all my cybertron scouts toys & deluxe sized toys. I just grabbed whatever planet symbol keys that matched. I didn't bother to look up the codes. apparently the buyers didn't care either.

I & the buyers were content/staisfied with giving the beast bots the jungle keys. the speed bots the race keys. the giant bots the giant keys. the earth bots the earth keys.

Hey, if you and the buyer walked away happy, great. But, some people (myself included) lose sleep over this sort of thing. True fact about the Domster: My Cybertron Skywarp broke a while back. The key is in a baggie, but I am not sure which key it is. I know that somewhere in that baggie, I have a key for a digre that I no longer own. It makes me crazy.

When buying customizing fodder, I am much less picky, and often try to get a key that is appropriate for the custom figure I am working on.

Dom
-not kidding about that key thing.

When I sold all of my Cybertron toys at the time, I made absolute sure that the planet keys that came with the figure were included in the one I was selling. The logic being that if I was to bill a figure as MIB complete it should at least come with all of the accessories that were originally in the box. The only exception to this was when I sold the planet key that came with the SDCC Skywarp, I included it with Optimus Prime.

I am going to be revising this list, if only because I am sorting a fair amount of UT era toys at the moment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(note: I have removed most non-"Cybertron" toys, such as movie recolors, from this list.)

Revision: Only listing "Cybertron" toys w/ keys and/or codes. Non-Cybertron toys with unique keys will be re-added. (For example, "Universe repacks such as the Scout 3-pack sold at Walgreens in 2010 is not being listed, as none of those toys have unique keys. But, the Backstop from last year is being listed, as it has a unique key.) This list is for US release toys only. (There are a large number of Japanese exclusive keys that I know of, and likely more that I do not know of. Rather than post an incomplete list, I will simply not list Japanese keys.)

Toys listed by planet allignment, and then alphabetically by price point. The first letter of each code usually synchs up with the price-point. Keys are obviously molded to match up to a given planet.

-s: Scout and Supreme (This is the only letter that is used for two price points.)
-d: Deluxe
-v: Voyager
-u: Ultra
-l: Leader

The key-codes were intended to unlock promotional content on-line. While a a few people have archived the content, the official page has long since been removed, making the key/code listings more useful for identification purposes. The physical keys were meant to unlock gimmicks on the toys and are mechanically fungible. (An "Earth" key will unlock a gimmick as well as a Universal key.) Japanese releases of the toys (under "Galaxy Force" did not have printed codes on the keys. In some cases, the Japanese toys had different keys than the US releases.)

*=planet or team leader
Recolors and retoolings of toys that are the same character are listed together. New characters are listed alphabetically.

Packaging and other slight variants are not listed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Convention Exclusives: (Cybertron toys)
-black Autobot leader key (Comicon San Diego '05 Exclusive)
sc5t (Alleyviper)

Movie filler: Key information from TFU.info:
After the first Bay movie in 2007, large retailers were focused on stocking movie branded product. As a result, Hasbro packaged toys that were likely planned for "Universe" in movie packaging. A number of these figures were pressed from "Cybertron" era moulds, and had obligatory keys.

The "Sector Seven" series was initially a Target exclusive, though the same figures were later released at Wal*Mart with different packaging (and identical keys). Most of the "Sector Seven" keys were recolours of the X/Unicron key. (This meant that several Autobots effectively had Decepticon keys.) The bordering and specific colours vary. But, S7 keys tend to be moulded in darker plastic and to have an S7 (cube) logo printed in silver paint on the front.

-Armorhide: black S7 key with dark grey border and yellow highlighting.
-Clocker: dark blue (translucent) speed key with metallic border.

-------------------------------------------------------
Timelines (Fun Publications):
Fun Publications began running BotCons in 2005, as the "Unicron Trilogy entered its final phase. A number of "Cybertron" toys were recoloured as exclusives for Fun Publications. These keys are going to be less likely to be mis-identified. But, they are also likely to be rare. If a Fun Publications figure is missing it key, finding a replacement key could be more difficult than finding a better copy of the toy.

All "Timelines" key information comes from tfu.info:

BotCon 2006:
"Days of Future Present" (BW prequel)
Retools of various "Cybertron" figures. Each packaged with a "golden disk" key. The keys are all recolours of the Unicron/Planet-X key, moulded in light grey (visible as the border) and painted gold in the middle.

I am part way through 2008, with a few toys from 2010.

On a wholly personal note, last night, I spent a significant amount of time digging for my keys, and looking over my list. Storing the keys in a bag made sense at the time. But, damn, it is making it hard to put complete figures together now.

I am just glad that I am not even considering doing this for Energon weapons.

Gonna be a long couple of weeks......

I am pretty sure that the key list above is done. Feel free to check it over. Let me know about any mistakes that you find. I plan to edit it one more time before using it to replace the primary key list at the top of this thread. (And, I plan to use some of that list as the foundation for my Minicon identification list.)

I plan to get to start a Minicon list sometime next week. That will probably be organized by line in the "Unicron Trilogy" and then non-UT lines. As with the key list, I will be focusing on US toys.

I'm just picky enough that I would want the correct key with the correct character, so I appreciate the work you put into compiling the list. I don't have a ton of Cybertron figures, but there are enough that I could see getting the keys mixed up.
