No images yet, save for a silhouette to make the announcement, but at Wonderfest 2017, it was confirmed that another Beast Wars Masterpiece figure is in the works. Dinobot!

With how great the first two Beast Wars figures came out, I can't wait to see how they do with Dinobot.

CGI renders of the upcoming figure have been shown off thanks to the Tokyo Toy Show 2017 booklet.

First look at the prototype in robot mode.

Got to say, I've been really impressed with the BW Masterpiece figures so far. They've done an excellent job making them look just like the show.

That does look pretty good. The BW MPs do look like they're pretty good figures, I just have been focusing on others and haven't gotten to them yet. I probably will at some point though.

That's a very show-accurate robot mode. My main complaint about the versions of Dinobot that we've seen before is how the raptor mode is never as good as it could be, usually because the legs are pretty obvious on the dino belly. I look forward to seeing if they solve that problem with this Dinobot.

First full color image of Dinobot in robot mode! And we got a partial first look at the prototype beast mode a while ago.

Once again, the Takara-Tomy designers have done an amazing job with a Beast Wars Masterpiece figure, managing to make the figure very accurate to the CGI model.

Edit: Whole bunch of promotional images of both beast and bot modes.

The robot mode still looks great. But the beast mode... even in Masterpiece scale, it's a bunch of ill-fitting panels that fail to convince me it's a fleshy hide. I guess I just like the robot animals better than the ones trying to be flesh and blood animals, because that's really hard to pull off for a Transformer. And at the larger scale, the gaps and seams really stand out.

So, a bit disappointing, but the bot mode looks pretty close to 100% spot on from what I'm seeing, and that counts for a lot.
